I have one million and one things (I counted, don’t worry,) on my mind these days. I am worried for my sisters, worried for this country, worried about relationships, and thinking about the future of not only myself but the entire world, and whether the Jets are going to pull through and win or tank it again, and if the Red Sox new acquisitions will lead them to a title in 2011 (they will,) whether the Wikileaks website is the death knell of America as we know it (we just don’t know it yet,) whether I will ever succeed, whether I’ll have a family, whether it will all work out in the end…
I have projects which need to get done as soon as possible, I have classes to take, lessons to learn, knowledge to teach, and seventy nine thousand four hundred and twenty-one major decisions to decide upon none of which has an answer currently, I have a screenplay I am working on, I have this blog, I have the book I’m still attempting to publish (though I did get promising news today,) I have to get ready for work, I have to iron my shirt, I have to get some lunch, and I have to finish “Gulliver’s Travels” by Jonathan Swift before that god-awful Jack Black payday arrives to besmirch the good name of classic literature, I have to figure out more ways to make money…
Instead of doing anything about any of that, and the 918, 109 things on my mind, I am sitting in the library and looking up cheats for Europa Universalis III (my Christmas present to myself. It arrived yesterday, around 1pm in the afternoon. It was installed and I was playing it from 4pm yesterday afternoon until 5am this morning. I have become precisely what I have always feared. I am now a nerd with a laptop. Now all I need is glasses; damn, they are coming soon. 918, 108...
